The symposium, "Democracy in Action?: The Law and Politics of Local Governance," featured in the January 27, 2005 Words column, was sponsored wholly by the Journal of Law and Politics, a publication managed and edited by students in the UVA Law School that sponsors such symposia about every three years.

The On-the-Block Update on January 27 should have noted that at the time of the sale, the property was listed by Sally DuBose of Real Estate III West, the asking price had been lowered to $289,000, and the property sold after 68 days in the new listing.

In our January 27 wedding issue, "Getting Hitched," we misspelled the name of the lawyer for whom Hovey Dabney's wife, Patricia, worked. He was C. Armonde Paxson.
