Music Lover: #12? Slackers!
The Burnt Mill Band
(

David: Hey you should check these guys out. www.myspace.com/burn tmillband. They are one of the best new country and southern rock band. You should think about writing an article about new up and coming bands in the area.
Zombie Bazooka Patrol

dm: I do not see how this band is even classified as bluegrass rock, just because it has a mandolin does not mean it is bluegrass rock. It sounds like a more upbeat folk rock band, just the name bluegrass rock is an oxymoron because traditional bluegrass uses strictly acoustic instruments (with an acception of the bass or violin for more sound). There is...

rj: This is a bad move. One of the best parts of going was having dinner before the play at Ash-lawn and enjoying the area, now it will just be inside.

eli: Might be tight for Sam and Carl to do a tune together between sets. Great voices and same range. Know they'll bring it for this first gig together!

Jack: Come on out, bring your acoustic instrument and play some blues... Beginner slide workshop, Piedmont blues expert Douglas Turner Day performance and then open mic type format with some of the best blues guys in the area coming out.... Come on and get your Blues on!!!

Jaymie Black: Sure- Say Garage Rock if you like . I LOVE Garage! But if you are trying to get a handle on this Atlanta woman-led singing group, I'd say New Wave sums them up better. Yes they have a Farfisa (Vox?)Organ, but it was used in much more of an early 80s, than mid 60s way, last time I caught them @ HEAVY REBEL WEEKENDER in Winston-Salem NC on...

Music Lover: I'm probably stepping out on a limb here, but I'm starting to think this band might actually make it.
Byrned: Jinx's Pit's Top gets 'Once in a Lifetime' visitor
(

Cheri Lewis: At the beginning of the concert Byrne commented on how it had been a nice day until a few minutes before and said they had been down to the river..."is that a river?" (and the crowd shouted back "yes" and "The Rivanna!") and then to Jinx's for bbq. We knew at that point that he could not avoid playing "Take Me To the River." Anybody else...
DF: Among the best shows I've seen at the Pavilion if not THE best. Cheers to those that brought the show to C'ville.
Janis Jaquith: I wish they'd sung "Psycho Killer"...
