The University of Virginia Art Museum presents a Family ArtJAM, “Quiet Tiger, Ferocious Lion: Animals from Classic to Romantic.” Children will tour the museum’s new exhibition, “From Classic to Romantic: British Art in the Age of Transition” and will discuss the depiction of animals, after which they will use acrylic paint to create expressive animals of their own. The workshop for 5-7 year-olds meets 1-3pm, followed by one for 7-12 year-olds, 3-5pm. All children must be accompanied by adults. 155 Rugby Road. To register call 243-2050, or write .
